How to Become a Nurse

Nursing has become the most flourishing and booming career in recent years. The growing industry of hospitals and medical services offering an ample of jobs to freshers.Nursing career offers a wide range of opportunities in India and abroad. Degree in nursing programs:

Diploma Courses: After passing 10th one can apply for diploma in nursing. Many colleges provide diploma courses for 1year or six months. Interested candidates can also go for specialization in respective fields, Such as medical care, mental care nursing etc.

Bsc Nursing: After passing 12th with having physics, chemistry and biology as major subjects one can pursue career in nursing by opting for BSc Nursing .The time period for Bsc nursing is 3 to 4 years.

Msc Nursing: Teaching is regarded as one of the best career .One can go in the teaching line by doing Msc nursing to enhance their knowledge and groom the fresher students. Post graduation in nursing consists of minimum two years.

PhD in Nursing: If one is interested in becoming a doctorate in nursing then he/she can apply for PhD in nursing after post graduation .It may be full time or part time.
   
Hospital Trainings:

Nursing is a more practical term rather than just a theory. So nursing students are sent to hospitals for training and exposure to the field as their course work.  They enrich themselves with the technical knowledge and learn to work in the hospital environment. Hospital trainings give nursing students the experience of work in the specific field. A fresher can start his/her career by earning 7000 to 15000 per month .With the broadening in the experience the salary package may raise up to 60 thousand per month. More skilled nurses can also find good career options in foreign countries.

Personal skills required for nurses:

After getting a degree in above mentioned courses students can get a job in hospitals as nurses and attendants. Students who are aspired to be a nurse must hold the following personal skills:

They must be kind hearted and devote their self in helping the patients.
Nurses have to work in day and night shifts .So they must encourage themselves to ready for situations.
Nurses have to deal with different kind of patients. So they must learn to remain calm and handle the situation.

A nurse must remain positive and should not spread the negative vibes to the patients.
A nurse must take care of his/her health as they have to remain with patients suffered with various communicable diseases.
